History

In the beginning, KTV was named KOmedi TV. KOmedi TV was founded by Eko Patrio and most of its shares are owned by Komando Productions. Initially, this television station only focused on comedy. However, at the change of name and logo to KTV, this television station turned to music and news.

Since September 1, 2011, this television station is a network of Kompas TV and broadcasts Kompas TV programs.

On June 28, 2015, this television station was no longer a network of Kompas TV because Kompas TV would move its channel to a frequency of 25 UHF or 503.25 MHz and did not broadcast Kompas TV programs, but continued to broadcast Copa América with Kompas TV. With these changes, the KTV program is currently in the form of a reference and lifestyle program.

In 2016, KTV could be watched via the Palapa D satellite with a frequency of 3980/ V/31000, but in 2018 the frequency changed to 3819/V/1000. And since then KTV has been released as a television broadcast subscription to K-vision.
