'Public TV' is a Kannada news broadcast brand of the Writemen Media Pvt. Ltd. Headed by H R Ranganath, who has served the media for 24 years, Public TV was inaugurated on 12th February 2012. Public TV was launched with the tag line- 'NO ONE'S PROPERTY, THIS IS YOUR TV'. Public TV began its trial testing on January 26.
