TMB, also known as "Turkic Music Box," was established by Samir Gurbanov in December 2009 to collect songs and folk music from all Turkish Republics in one channel. In May 2014, TMB RU, a sister channel that broadcasts in Russia, was launched.
TMB TV aims to become a widely viewed channel in all Turkish Republics in the long term. Currently, it can be accessed via Türksat 3A and Azerspace-1 satellites, KabloTV, and D-Smart. In addition, TMB TV broadcasts unencrypted on Horizons 2 satellite on Russia's Kontinent TV platform.
The channel's programming includes a variety of music-related content, such as music videos, concerts, interviews with musicians, and documentaries on the history and culture of Turkish music. TMB TV also features programs that showcase contemporary music from Turkey and other Turkic-speaking countries.
